Barn-raising For Success: Owning your proactive community
“…when people come together everyone gets a barn.” –
Tim Olive
Our brand is what we sell. Not just our photographs. Today more than ever,
our perceived brand is based on our ability to build powerful relationships
- which become levers for us to succeed.
Such is the case with our community. Our community is our brand. This
program proactively illustrates that when a community owns their brand,
and shares in the accountability for that brand, everyone’s value
is raised.
This participatory program is an introduction to the principles of proactive
team-building, problem-solving and it’s about how individual photographers
can each prosper by helping each other build value within their community.
Conducted by Tim Olive, APA’s VP of Mission and Effectiveness, and
founder of the APA Success Teams along with special guest George Fulton,
APA National President, this will immensely inspire you to understand
your power as an individual to create powerful personal change by working
in community with others.

Proactive Digital Delivery: Anatomy of a partnered workflow
“…the pudding is in the proof.” – George Fulton
There’s a good place to start a workflow – before the beginning.
In this program, photo-illustrator and APA National President, George
Fulton, with special guest Tim Olive, takes you through his personal workflow
starting before his first digital file was ever delivered. Before deciding
to deliver digitally, George studied his market and designed a workflow
that would:
• create additional value for his clients by providing an accountable
cmyk workflow
• create fresh creative approaches
• create additional and measurable revenue for his business
• parallel and reinforce the licensing model seamlessly
Digital delivery isn’t for everybody, but it’s here, and it’s
pervasive. And if we are going to do it, we should consider the importance
of each step within the framework of the big picture - partnering with
our clients to provide unquestionable value. From the initial phone call
for the estimate to the delivery of the final proof. George will explain
in detail and with handouts – his thought process behind his system
of partnering with his clients and vendors in a successful way, all the
while enabling more effective licensing.
