• GENERAL- established advertising or commercial photographers only. $350/year
  
• EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHER - Photographers who have been in business less than 3 years. $225/year
  
• ASSISTANT - $125/year
  
• STUDENT $45/year
  
• AFFILIATE: A non-photographer member of the industry $125/year

Our Mission
APA's mission is successful advertising photographers. Our goal is to establish, endorse, and promote professional practices, standards, and ethics in the photographic and advertising community. We seek to mentor, motivate, educate, and inspire in the pursuit of excellence. Our aim is to champion and speak as one common voice for advertising photographers and image makers to the advertising industry in the United States and the World.

History
Advertising Photographers of America was founded in 1981 by a group of independent and concerned advertising and commercial photographers, and chapters were established in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. These original APA Chapters formed APA National in 1985 with the desire to coordinate and communicate on a national level.

All APA Chapters are independently managed and funded, and work together as members of APA National.
